New windows offer a variety of benefits to the homeowner. Most dual pane windows today are manufactured to offer energy efficiency, affordability, durability, and aesthetic appeal. Today's new windows installation market offers a variety of materials, configurations, and manufacturing options. You can purchase "off-the-shelf" windows from "big box" retailers just like Home Depot or Lowes, or you can get your new windows custom-made by having a remodeling company measure your windows and order them from a manufacturer. This is the method we recommend. Window replacement contractors that allow you to compare replacement windows and provide you with an installation service backed by a warranty both from the manufacturer and the contractor will give you the best overall results. When you're making a decision as important as a replacement window buy, we strongly recommend using a specialized, local window replacement contractor.

Replacement window contractors have more comprehensive customer service skills when compared to extremely large retailers. You'll appreciate this level of customer service when designing your custom windows and tailoring your installation options to match your home's decor. Many contractors also offer multiple window brands, allowing you to compare and choose which replacement windows best fit your cost and style needs. They are also most likely more informative on the differences, advantages, and drawbacks of different materials such as wood, fiberglass, and the most popular, vinyl windows. They'll also be more flexible with pricing, allowing you to more easily fulfill your budget and quality needs.

WINDOW MANUFACTURERS:

Window manufacturers like the ones to the right offer a variety of windows and doors in vinyl, aluminum, wood, woodclad, and fiberglass. Nearly all of them use dual-pane glass units with some type of Lo E coating technology. You'll find most of them offer the same configurations such as single and double hungs, single and double sliders, casements, awnings, picture windows, bay and bow windows, custom shapes, sliding patio doors, and french doors. Some also offer combination windows, garden windows, and tilt & turn windows, but nearly all manufacturers sell directly to installation contractor companies and not directly to the public.

INSTALLATION CONTRACTORS:

Regardless of the quality of the window, it will only perform as well as the installation allows. A great window is not energy efficient if it isn't installed correctly.

Homeowners are often burdened with the responsibility of checking the backgrounds on a list of contractors before deciding which one they'll hire to remodel a part of their home. The task can be research-intensive, confusing, time-consuming, and difficult, but Remodelers Market will take care of that part for you. We interview contractors for every project, showing them your comments, descriptions, requests, pictures, videos, etc. We make sure they can do the job at the best possible price before we refer them to you.

With windows, we make sure all the proper training certifications, licenses, bonds, and insurance policies are in order before considering a contractor for your project. This helps to eliminate any risk or dissatisfaction. It also helps to guarantee that the installation will maximize the beauty and energy efficiency of the windows to be installed.
